Cap the rent contribution of HASA clients in independent livin
Limits the amount of income that persons living with clinical/symptomatic HIV or AIDS who are receiving monetary assistance for their shelter are required to contribute towards the cost of housing to be capped at 30 percent of their household income.
Oppose the Proposed AIDS Institute Budget Consolidation

Access to Higher Education Programs for PA Recipients
A. 1827/S5846-A ensures that New York State will take full advantage of federal changes to allowable work activities for public assistance recipients included in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Final TANF rule.
Create a Youth Worker Earned Income Tax Credit
Provides for an earned income tax credit to youth workers ages 17-24, increases the standard deduction for individuals 18-24 and provides for the decution of student loan interest.

This bill will ensure comprehensive assessments and the development of career plans for participants because it sets forth a definition of sustainable living wage, as well as a number of other important related elements.
